Had a nice time during our visit to the Latvian National Museum of Art and other nearby attractions. The breakfast spread was fantastic, offering a variety of options that the kids really enjoyed. I appreciated how the rooms overlooked a lovely courtyard, which provided a peaceful retreat away from the street noise. Plus, it was just a short walk to Riga Castle, making it easy to explore the area without too much hassle.

The charm of this family-run hotel lies in its welcoming atmosphere and convenient location near the main attractions. The continental breakfast included delightful cream cakes, which were a highlight of the stay, and the staff provided exceptional hospitality, even offering tea and coffee upon return after a day of exploring. room space was quite constrained, making it a tight fit for three adults, and the presence of outdated decor detracted from the overall comfort. accessibility could be limited due to the size of common areas during peak hours.

Charming small hotel with unique internal courtyard access.
The lack of air conditioning made my stay uncomfortable, especially with temperatures soaring to 26 degrees. The room had an unpleasant moldy odor, which detracted from an otherwise clean appearance. I was repeatedly told conflicting information by different receptionists.

Rooms lack modern amenities, with outdated decor and no air conditioning, making the heat unbearable during hotter days. Cleanliness issues, like unpleasant odors in the hallways and slight moldy smells in the bathrooms, could use attention. Wi-Fi is spotty in certain areas, especially further away from the main corridor, and the breakfast area often feels cramped with limited seating. the lack of tea or coffee facilities in the rooms means you're relying on the front desk, and there’s a noticeable absence of fresh water during breakfast.

Found this little gem after a bumpy start, the staff were super friendly and really made you feel at home. One morning, while my kids were going crazy over the breakfast choices, I got to enjoy a hot cup of coffee in peace and quiet, something you don't find often in hotels that cater to families.
